VI National Congress on Cardiostimulation and Electrophysiology

VI National Congress on Cardiostimulation and Electrophysiology

date: 29-31 October 2021
location: Imperial Hotel, Plovdiv
client: Bulgarian Society of Cardiostimulation and Electrophysiology

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee and on my own behalf, I have the pleasure to invite you to the VI National Congress on Cardiostimulation and Electrophysiology, which will take place in the period October 29-31, 2021 at Hotel Imperial Plovdiv.

After the challenges and limitations which the pandemic posed to us all, it is time for us to restore the tradition of meeting and exchanging knowledge, experience, and ideas. The Bulgarian Society of Cardiostimulation and Electrophysiology has decided this year to organize the VI National Congress in hybrid form with live attendance, but also with the opportunity to participate online. We expect that in this way we will be able to stimulate everyone who is interested in attending the event. It will also allow for a larger number of delegates and lecturers from abroad to join and to participate in the event regardless of the specific regulations in their countries.

The Congress will strive to cover the latest topics in invasive electrophysiology and cardiostimulation, enabling experts in the field to demonstrate and share new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. The scientific content will be focused on the latest developments in the field of treatment of atrial fibrillation and prevention of sudden cardiac death. Special emphasis will be placed on the collaboration between electrophysiologists, clinical practice cardiologists, and invasive cardiology experts. Traditionally, we expect joint scientific sessions with organizations which the Bulgarian Society of Cardiostimulation and Electrophysiology is in close collaboration and partners great with. These are the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology and the Bulgarian Society of Interventional Cardiology. There will be a wide discussion of topics in the field of cardiostimulation and non-drug treatment of heart failure through cardiac resynchronization therapy and stimulation of the conduction system.

The program will also include practical sessions to provide a wide overview of a number of details of the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmia and conduction disturbances. Original scientific work of teams from the country and abroad will be presented.

Invited speakers will be Bulgarian experts in the field, as well as distinguished guests from abroad. For the first time ever, we will offer a joint session with the European Cardiac Arrhythmia Society, in which the President of the organization - Prof. C. Leclerc – will participate as well.

We are expecting around 150-200 participants.

Leading pharmaceutical companies and representatives from the field of invasive electrophysiology and cardiostimulation will have the opportunity to demonstrate their latest achievements in a specialized exhibition which will be accompanying the Congress both online and onsite.

Your active participation will contribute to a productive and valuable forum – an arena for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and innovative ideas.

We will be expecting you!

Dr. Vasil Traykov, MD, Chairman of BSCE
